There is a range of co-curricular activities to engage in at Lifeforte with Thursday afternoons being club day. Students have the option of getting involved in any of the following clubs:

The Creative Writer’s club affords students of all grades an invaluable opportunity to discover and develop their literary creative potentials. Members are encouraged to work independently on whichever genre they have a flair for and at the periodic meetings of the club, student members with the help of teachers in charge edit and critique the works presented.
The next item on the club’s agenda is the publication of some of the student’s creative efforts.
Over the centuries, drama has proven to be a very viable tool in disseminating information (especially society–based information) and impacting people. This is the motivation behind our ardent commitment to seeing that this talent is cultivated, encouraged and developed in our students. The drama club is a very vibrant club and its activities are directed towards: discovering and harnessing the acting, play-creation and performance skills of its members, creating a platform for constructive and positive self-expression and enhancing team-working abilities.
Hitherto, plays by Nigerian writers have dominated most of the club’s presentations but the coming days will see an exploration into the world of English Literature specifically Shakespearean works.
Short plays written, directed and presented by the club members have also served to strengthen the effectiveness of the club.
The music club is one of the largest and more prominent clubs in the school. The club is split into 2 arms: The Instrumental Music arm and the Vocal Music arm. The Instrumental Music arm seeks to detect, develop and maximize the innate musical skills in students on various instruments such as the piano, drums, guitars, saxophone and a range of other instruments, provide an informed acquisition of music, inculcate discipline and develop general musicianship and train instrumentalists for the school band and orchestra.
As the name suggests the vocal music arm focuses on singing. Club members are encouraged to develop their singing voice via voice training and ear training; students also acquire and consolidate a range of basic musical skills through listening, performing and composing. Proper vocal techniques and skills are also instilled in the students in order to produce candidates good enough to constitute the school choir.
This club is designed to help students develop the ability to critically analyze issues and to confidently express informed opinions on national and international topics.
At meetings, club members engage in lively discussions, exchanging both pro and contrary ideas and opinions.
The coordinators ensure that each student presents a speech to an audience, usually the entire school. The belief is that when students are trained in this way it eliminates stage fright thereby enabling them to speak confidently before an audience in future.
This club is open to all students interested in science and technology. The aim of the club is to sensitize the members in the increasing importance of science and generate an enthusiasm for scientific exploration, enable students acquire relevant laboratory and technical skills, expose members to current trends in science and technology and develop their innate skills, enable students design and carry out projects and promote healthy competition among members through quizzes.
As the name suggests, the aim of this club is to teach students how to cook. Apart from the fun of learning and sampling the dishes, students are introduced to the different methods of preparing a wide variety of meals. They are also taught the principles of effective time, energy and money management in cookery. So far, the members of the club have produced a selection of mouthwatering snacks such as apple-tarts, meat pies, cakes, biscuits, puff balls and crunchies.
This club is an avenue to help students discover, explore and utilize their artistic talents through dance. It also introduces the students to the professional world of performing arts and acquaints them with the great and successful dancers. The school’s annual ‘Project Talent Hunt’ has given the club the opportunity to present a number of traditional Nigerian dances such as Bata (Yoruba), Ekombi (Calabar), Fulani, Atilogwu (Igbo) and Swange. On the club’s horizon are the following activities motivational talks and seminars, script writing, rehearsals, dance presentation and filming.
The Arts and Photography club fosters and develops creativity and artistic skills among the students. Members come together to learn, share and exchange knowledge and craftsmanship in different aspects of art such as drawing, painting, graphics, sculpture, textile and creative assemblage and composition. Photographic training is designed to take the members through the processes of handling the camera and bringing photographs to the stage of finishing and printing.
This is a forum whereby students’ communication skills and style in French are polished by teachers. The teachers encourage the students to express themselves in this language by engaging them in activities like debate, drama, French dancing competition, poems, and songs. The club also functions as an avenue for students to know more about France the roots of the language.
